As it stands right now I wouldn't recommend this air rifle to anyone. Once scope was mounted, attempted to sight in the rifle. Gun placed on a stable surface with a "bean bag" under the barrel. Not one shot is repeatable. Scatter gun would be my first impression. I have very little confidence in the scope. An ajustment (couple clicks) one way may send the round either further in the same direction or way off the paper in the other direction.Rifle doesn't have an open sight so one can't tell if it is indeed the scope or the rifle. I know what you are thinking, must be the operator. Had another individual attempt to make a shot group, couldn't do it. Not happy.

Jack of Idaho Falls, ID - February, 28 2012:

I've had this gun for about two months now, and am thoroughly pleased. It took a little practice and trying several different pellets, but now at 33 feet in my basement, I can consistently hit a nickel sized target offhand. Can't wait for the weather to warm up and shoot farther. So far, Crosman Premier HP pellets (14.5 gr.) grouped the best, and Daisy Precision Max (13.5 gr) produced the shotgun type of groups that the other reviewer got. Heavier pellets work better. I've got about 750 rounds through it now, and keep getting better every day. Get this gun and practice, you will be happy with it.

Chad of Salina, UT - June, 25 2012:

Nice gun design, a little heavy and very hard to break in. Have put over 200 rounds thru it and still will not hold a tight group. It is getting better. Has a nice scope.

Lee of ringgold, GA - June, 27 2012:

Bought this rifle because of its design feels comfortable scope is very acurate, me and my stepson were hitting 4 inch clay targets at 100 yards, breaking 4 out of 5, rifle is sensitive, real easy to pull the shot but a couple of 100 rounds and you will learn

Ryan of Fairbanks, AK - July, 15 2012:

This is another excellent product from the folks at Crosman/Benjamin. The nitro piston rifles have greatly reduced the amount of shock to the scopes that older "springer" airguns used to that would cause them to break scopes. This rifle does have a decent scope, 4-9 power, with adjustable focus down to 30FT which most rifle scopes do not adjust down to. The thumbhole stock is crafted quite well, it has very aggressive stippling (checkering) at the pistol grip and forearm grip area. Both come in handy if you're planning to hunt in damp/wet conditions. These rifles as with most breakbarrel airguns, require a pretty high shot count to break in. Due to the ammount of assembly/perservitive grease used during production, the rifles will "diesel" until all of the grease is gone. This "dieseling" causes what several of the previous reveiws have stated, a lack of accuracy. Once you've shot the rifle past that, it will settle down and you will have a very straight shooter that will provide loads of enjoyment. Just be patient with the breakin process, it can seem like its taking forever. One way to keep a record of how many shots you've done is use the same pellet "tin" until its empty, that way you've got a good count. As for my rifle, I have had it about 2 months, and have only recently gotten it settled down, it took mine about 250-350 rounds before it completely settled in. I would highly recommend this airrifle for someone looking for a good quality, break barrel rifle, for hunting or target/plinking.

Jeff of Casper, WY - September, 18 2012:

Very powerful air rifle! Has some accuracy issues due to being a break action rifle but not as bad as most. This would be great for small varmints at shorter ranges.

Dave of Spanish Fork, UT - September, 20 2012:

This pellet gun shoots really well. I have had other single cock pellet guns and and this one out shoots all of them. Being piston driven instead of spring driven is the big key to it's accuracy. My only complaint is that the scope is not the greatest quality. The gun will shoot better than the scope will allow.

Mike of Phoenix, AZ - February, 09 2013:

Just purchased and zero'd in the scope. Shot a nice tight group right out of the box at 30 yards. A few adjustments and dead nuts on. Used both Crossman hollow points and dome with consistant results. Could not be more pleased.
