only used it on small pond and lakes, but you couldn't ask for anything better for the price. I had a cheap one from a yardsale, it died and I will be glad I bought a Roanoke!! will buy one for the ol lady next!
I love love this pontoon absolutely worth every penny. I would have paid 350.00 for this pontoon. I have taken this thing from Strawberry to Fish Lake and have never been let down at all. I don't use the oar paddles when I fly fish but I have nothing bad to say. Super durable and dependable very comfortable for have a hard plastic seat. I love this thing probably one of my favorite things I own.
this boat was bought foe my 13 year old son to enjoy lake fly fishing. the only fault with the set up so far are the oars, stops, and the lack of an anchor system. The oars are made of a plastic compound and are deforming due to the aluminum locks. Not to mention the snap into place mech. to connect the oars needed a bit of fab. Figuring out a way to convert the existing oar system to a more durable one is my chief complaint. And really, if the boat floats and we're fishing, why complain?
Purchased 2 Roanoke Classic pontoon boats. One boat's bladder valve never held air. We floated w/the slow leak and finally broke the valve trying to tighten it as tight as humanly possible so I'm here for a new bladder.
With that out of way this was purchased for price not quality. The durability if fair. In 2 years we have Jerry-rigged about every part on it, but we've done that to our highest quality inflatables too. Who cares about faded colors or tears and broken zippers on each pocket or the fact this float is better for petite figures, i.e. Children because it's just not long enough for over 130#.
I would have returned this within a day but the leak was slow and we got an hour or two before refilling. 1 season on the river and it's a great purchase, want to keep it as long as out more expensive models now going on 25 years - keep shopping.

Great boat for the price!
I just got done with a 5 hour river trip. This pontoon is amazing! It was very easy to put together and extremely light weight. It floats very even and higher up. There was only a few things that I did not like. One, the chair is very hard with no padding. the back is fine but the bottom half that you sit on is very uncomfortable. Also, The grips and ores are amazing and so comfortable but, on the ores the rubber rings that are suppose to stop them from sliding do not work. Every time I found where is was comfortable the rings moved and messed me up. I just used black electrical tape to stop the rings from moving, it worked great... you will need to bring tape on your first trip or it will drive you crazy! Last, the back rack could be better built but it works and will hold smaller and lighter objects. Other then that I would suggest this to every person who is looking for a new pontoon boat.
The instructions were very easy for assembly and this is a fun new toy! Cannot wait to take on the river for some fishing.
I realy apreciate my new pontoon, it help me to reach a lot of new fishing spots ! Classic Accessories!
