The soles are very light weight. They do run a little narrow through the toe area and I had to go with a bigger size because of that. They seem to be pretty comfortable so far but I have only used them a handful of times.

I bought these for my daughter.Other reviews recommended one size larger;so I did,and they fit her just right.I have never used anything but felt bottom myself;but she had good footing and never slipped once.Also they are incredibly light and very well constructed.
