CRKT Folts Minimalist Wharncliffe - Alan Folts is a knifemaker and metalworker in Greenville, N.C., who makes a remarkable range of custom objects, including titanium chopsticks. His Minimalist? neck knife has proven to be very popular, so we are offering our new CRKT production version. The Minimalist is a very small and lightweight knife which gives surprising comfort and control. The great control is thanks to the unusual geometry of the full-tang 2.0' Wharncliffe blade, aided by three finger choils, hand-contoured green/black Micarta® scales, and a braided fob. The Minimalist comes with a custom-fitted Zytel® sheath and neck paracord for inverted carry as a neck knife. The knife is held securely in place by a
positive detent which locks the base of the blade in place for maximum safety. Because the knife and sheath weigh about two ounces together, it is a personal carry you will barely notice.
2.0' 5Cr15MoV stainless steel blade (55-57 HRC)
3 finger choils
Hand-contoured green-black Micarta® scales

Very cool little knife, till you try to use it. The steel is so bad it goes dull after one use. Well I kind of expected this since it is a soft steel, what I did not expect is that it is NOT re-sharp-enable. You get one use then it done. I don't know what CRKT was thinking when they ground these blades but the stink (don't believe me google it before you buy). I fell for the coolness factor (it does have that going for it) but know I wish I had my twenty bucks back. What makes it worse Sportsman's Warehouse only has a thirty day return policy (that could be better too), it will be forty days before you discover the problem.
