Kevin Whitacre of Idaho Falls, ID - April, 30 2011:

This is a slick little piece! Most of the night vision in this price range are the older tube-type models, and I've never been impressed with them. The digital technology Bushnell is using blows the GEN1 tube-type night vision away. The image is black and white, and is really clear. It doesn't look like you're looking through a fish bowl like the GEN1 units. The illuminator works really well, and the controls are easy to use. There are two small LEDs that let you know when the unit and illuminator are turned on so you don't kill the batteries. It runs on 6 AA batteries instead of the more expensive lithium batteries, and it also has a video output on the side, so you can connect it to your camcorder.

Tommy Johnson of Wasilla, AK - July, 06 2011:

This is a great unit! For the price your getting new age technology in the price range of far older units. With very clear, crisp black and white imagery you can't go wrong. With 2 small LED's to let you know if your powered up or down and user friendly controls this is a fine unit. Running on 6 AA batteries you can go with Alkaline or Lithium but be prepared to spend more for the lithiums. This particular unit also has a "video output" port on the side to connect your camcorder to.
