Got a couple of physical issues as I age that limit what I can realistically do with fancy optics, so I tried the LRS/PEPR combination on my RRA LAR-15 Tactical. Mounted it in less than 10 minutes and was off zero by less than 2 inches because the PEPR is so solid a mount. Brought it to a beautiful zero with a 3 shot group followed by a 2 shot and a second 2 shot. Sold my expensive, but great, scope/mount combo I have on my Armalite Tac 18 on the way home from the range. I'll be buying an LRS/PEPR combo for it this week. Probably going to one for my Ruger Scout .308, as I shoot deer at ranges of less than 200m. Face it, folks. We aren't all capable of Chris Kyle marksmanship, so go with the simple LRS/PEPR combo and feel really good about your range day on the way home every time.

I didn't give five stars because the instructions on installing the CR2032 battery in the TAC30 are insufficient for a new owner/user. A separate flyer describing proper battery installation is needed. If the CR2032 battery is not pushed firmly and fully to the bottom of the battery compartment, the push button switch does not work properly. Just placing the CR2032 battery in the top of compartment and screwing down the battery cap/switch button will not fully seat the battery. It took me about thirty minutes to troubleshoot why the push button switch wouldn't work properly. Improper battery installation and seating is the root of the switch problems. The included Burris Fast Fire III does not have this type of battery installation problem. The Fullfield TAC30 optics and reticle are great.

Comments about Burris Fullfield TAC30 Rifle Scope with Fastfire II Red Dot Sight Combo:

bought this scope as well as the PEPR mount on recommendation of my dealer without seeing it. Both the scope and mount are of very high quality for the money. I love the illuminated reticle. I easily hit the inner circles at 100 yards on every shot.

Great Scope

By

Comments about Burris Fullfield TAC30 Rifle Scope with Fastfire II Red Dot Sight Combo:

I bought this scope a month ago but never really had a chance to use it till this week cause of the weather. Had it out Sunday and got it sighted in finally. I really liked shooting with it. Its just what I wanted for my AR. Hopefully I'll have a chance to get a couple coyotes with it. The only thing I didn't like was turning the reticile off, I had to use my finger nail cause just pushing on it with my thumb wasn't enough to switch it, mayby I just got to push harder I don't know. But the scope and reticile are great. Very clear focus on the scope and both are easy to bring on target. Very glad I bought it. We have coyotes running thru our property on a regular basis and I think the setup I got with this gun and scope is perfect for thinning them out.

Very functional

By

Comments about Burris Fullfield TAC30 Rifle Scope with Fastfire II Red Dot Sight Combo:

Upon receipt of the scope and mount, the rear mounting nut on the AR-P.E.P.R. mount would not tighten to the listed torque value of 65 in-lbs. Burris quickly replaced both the nut and stud, which tightened to the listed torque value. Customer service was prompt and courteous. After finally shooting with the scope, the TAC30 proved to be very accurate at 100yds. The Fastfire red-dot was accurate out to 25yds, but difficult to shoot at greater distances. All of the adjustment knobs were accessible and easy to use with pronounced "clicks." I was, however, a little disappointed that the TAC30 did not ship with any protective-optic covers. All of my other scopes contained protective covers.

Comments about Burris Fullfield TAC30 Rifle Scope with Fastfire II Red Dot Sight Combo:

Mounted my TAC30 on my Ruger SR-762 and after every round the illumination shut off. If I push up on the eye piece the Illumination comes back on. Something isn't put together correctly. It is a shame because otherwise the scope is amazing.

Have had this scope for a year. Loved it since new. Now scope reticle has started to shake like the element is broken inside. Hope it can be fixed. Regardless of that it is still an awesome piece.

I just added this to my Colt M4 and love it so far. The only small complaint I have is that the scope had minor damage to it when I received it. Other then that great product. The zoom is just right for a M4
