I mounted the Eliminator III on my new 300RUM and went to the range. The scope zeroed quickly and consistently at 100 and the ballistic table included with the scope provided the correct drop and ballistic coefficient for my specific ammo. I shot accurately out to 500yds. The scope easily ranged targets past 1000 yds. but 500 is my max for ethical hunting. Entering the drop number and BC is much easier than I expected. Fast forward to Wyoming in October. I used the instructions provided to adjust my drop number and BC for the 6,000 ft. change in elevation from my home in TN to Cody, WY. After confirming that the adjustment was dead on we went to the field. I harvested an antelope at 407 and a mule deer at 112. Both shots were right behind the shoulder. I simply pushed the button and the scope provided the correct holdover dot. Using a separate range finder, counting mill dots or clicks and then acquire the target takes time that you often don't have in a hunting situation. The Eliminator III eliminates those steps.

I bought this scope a month ago and was very impressed with features and the way it works. Tried on my .308 but after several shots I realised it doesn't hold zero. Took off and put on my .303 and did the same. Tried everything to eliminate anything that could be wrong but sad to say it can't hold zero. Wasted a fortune on this no good scope. The Eliminator is Eliminated from my good books.

Comments about Burris Eliminator III Laser Rangefinder Rifle Scope:

Bought this package in September: BURRIS Eliminator III on an Ohio Ordinance Works H-Car (30-06 w/ 30 rnd mag.). Got my antelope at 378 yards, one shot - mid-rib cage. Got my 5x5 Mule buck at 452 yards up a cliff face at a 30 degree incline, one shot - through the neck. And this is my FIRST hunt season ever!! I love you guys...! Thank you sincerely for coming up with this scope.

Eliminator III LaserScope - Best rifle scope I have ever bought: For the price, you have a 4-16 Variable Power Scope with Range Finder, Built-In Ballistic Tables and a easy to use Reticle with the bullet drop & wind dope shown in the display. I am looking forward to buying more scopes to put on other rifles I own. Keep-up the great work on this product line.

Comments about Burris Eliminator III Laser Rangefinder Rifle Scope:

Awesome scope, I got this and at first I was a little worried about the set up , but after reading about it , it was easy to setup . Just aim hit the button and it show you where you should hold . Your part is just figuring out the wind . I had no trouble with that part .

Very Very Impressed!

Comments about Burris Eliminator III Laser Rangefinder Rifle Scope:

I went hunting this year in North Eastern Montana for Mule Deer. I had been up there a couple times in the past and wanted try a good long range gun/scope combination. After doing some research, I went with the Eliminator III scope on my new Browning X-bolt 300 Winchester Mag. It was a long week of hunting and I was down to my last day and last 30 minutes of daylight when we spotted this really nice buck a couple miles away. We took off on a fast pace hike to get as close as we could without being spotted. I crawled through the grass and got in position for the shot. The scope ranged it at 648 yards. I had never shot an animal that far before and wasn't feeling very confident with making that kind of shot. With my spotter laying next to me telling my quietly and sternly I better let some lead fly because we're running out of light, I checked my range again, confirmed the 648, moved the lit redical to the shoulder, exhausted, squeezed and dropped him! Thank you Burris for a great product!!!

Great scope. Great customer service. Lost a cap off site adjustment while on an elk hunting trip. Burris mailed me two new ones the next day to the nearest post office where I was hunting. Thanks

I BOUGHT 5 4-16X50 ...

By

from Houston, TX, United States

Comments about Burris Eliminator III Laser Rangefinder Rifle Scope:

I BOUGHT 5 4-16X50 ELIMINATOR III SCOPES. They are great scopes as long as you do not try to use them in very cold weather. anything under 14 degrees and they do not work. You can still use it as a regular scope but when you push the button all the lights will light up at the same time. I just made sure it stayed close to my heater so it would work. if there is a solution to the cold weather problem please let me know.

An outstanding "handicap"

By

from Dillon, MT, United States

Comments about Burris Eliminator III Laser Rangefinder Rifle Scope:

My 1st impression out of the box is that of a well built instrument. Make sure you don't have the battery polarity reversed as I did or you may be frustrated for a day. It was easy to mount and although I haven't sighted it to my rifle I'm confident I made a wise purchase. I put my excitement on pause however after it's arrival while I verified it's legality in my state. Because it does not emit a visible light it is legal in Montana. Also, I did an experiment where I placed it in my freezer for 4hrs. It got down to 10 degrees below zero Fahrenheit and it still worked.
