Browning Yukon Gold YG20 Gun Safe - The body of this Browning Yukon Gold Safe is made from 12 gauge steel offering more protection from any type of criminal attack and from fire. The safes door uses a 1-inch formed face and steel reinforcement panels. This door also includes fire insulation, and therefore provides more fire protection. The Force Deflector Locking System prevents bolt or handle forces from reaching the lock by using a rotating cam device. It prevents energy transfer to the lock better than most systems used in the safe industry. Four active 1-inch bolts move behind the door frame to actually hold the safe door locked and closed. These bigger bolts, and more of them, provide greater security. The door opening of the safe, strengthened by U-shaped steel channels, is welded around the entire perimeter to create added pry and attack resistance. The patented Duo Plus Extra Storage System is the most versatile Browning safe interior ever. This system maximizes gun storage space by including a modular system of door mounted racks for long guns.

Dave of La center, WA - January, 25 2015:

Browning is a higher end brand. Solid safe without breaking your wallet. Don't let dial combination lock scare you away. With a little practice it's a snap. If you're worried you can't open quickly in home defense situation you should probably have a firearm under your pillow anyway.

John Averill of Nikiski, AK - April, 02 2015:

My Yukon Gold is a piece of junk. The combination lock mechanism is cheaply made and works only sporadically. I've only had the safe about a year locking it as little as possible for fear that I wouldn't be able to get back in it when I needed to. Well, today my fears we're realized. I tried the combination 15 times without success and finally gave up. I once equated Browning wit Quality. I was clearly wrong!!!! What good is a gun safe that the gun owner can't open on demand?? Frustrated in Alaska!
