Used this tent for the first time this past weekend. This is a great tent and very easy and quick to set-up. If you set-up the tent by yourself, I would recommend using a twist tie to hold the poles in the upright position while you attach the tent to the poles.Patrick Bruner of Pleasant Hill, IA - October, 08 2013:
I purchased this tent the night before a 4 day camping trip to NE Iowa. I knew rain was in the forecast and I wanted something that would keep me dry. I also wanted a tent with room to move inside. This tent was setup and displayed at the Sportsman's Warehouse store in Ankeny which allowed me to see and feel the tent without having to just rely on words from the website. Anyway, set the tent up in less than 30 minutes by myself. Really wasn't difficult and I took my time making sure I was careful in the setup process. I really liked how the tent is hung from the poles rather than slid through sleeves like on other tents. I staked the tent and secured the fly with the guy outs. So easy setup, check. Then the severe storms came. First 24 hours, almost an inch. The next evening, a full blown severe storm warning, high winds, rotation, and lots of rain. nearly 4 inches in about 4 hours. Our group was pinned down in a makeshift shelter during the rain and I feared peeking inside my new tent once the rain stopped, but when I did...not a drop, except for the few that dripped off the door flap as I opened it. Plus, I never saw the tent buckle or bow in the wind. Very sturdy. Weatherproof tent. Definitely. Taking the tent down was even easier than setup. Again, a one person job. The tent packed up easily and fit in the included carry bag. Best tent I've owned to date.
