Badlands Ox Frame Pack

Your knees will give out on you before your back with this pack. I've never had a more comfortable load. Compression straps suck down tight when I've got a light load, keeping the pack one with my body. The 2200 is going to be my next purchase for those shorter hunts where I don't need to have my pack frame with me at all times.

I spend four months out of the year chasing elk and deer and their sheds. The badlands ox can do it all. It is the most comfortable pack I've ever had on my back, weather it just for a day hike with light gear or coming off the top of the mountain with elk quarters in tow, this pack can handle it.

Badlands Ox Frame Pack

Best elk pack that Badlands makes. I own the Diablo and 2200 as well. Both are great. The Ox in my view is the best pack for elk hunting, better than the 2200. Here's why. It can really pack weight out! The 2200 does have a meat shelf but its average at best at hauling quarters out. Though it weighs more than the 2200 I think it rides much better. The pockets on the hips are far better than the 2200. These you can actually put real items in. The 2200's hip pockets are ultra small. If you're looking for an 'all in' pack, the Ox is it. Plenty of space, great frame that handles big weight. Really comfortable to wear.
