I have owned dozens of hunting packs of all shapes, sizes and brands. Frameless, internal frame and external frame. When looking for a mid-sized pack, I purchased several packs but I returned all of them for various reasons. Some were heavy, others were loud, too small, too big, awkwardly shaped, ect. Eventually I came across this pack. It met all of my criteria I was looking for in a mid-sized pack. I took it on a Colorado elk hunting trip loaded with gear, cameras, clothing etc. I have almost ZERO complaints. The pack preformed flawlessly and was one of the most comfortable pack I've layed hands on. Worth every penny of the price tag.
My only complaint is that if you pack it WAY too full (both volume and weight) AND all the straps were tightened, the internal frame springs inward slightly. It doesn't bend/break anything, but makes it slightly uncomfortable. The solution was to pack it better, in such a way that the weight and volume were more evenly distributed. I soon found out that this 'complaint' was actually a blessing in disguise. By forcing you to repack a few items, it distributed the weight much better and was a much easier carry. One really has to try to make the pack flex inward, but I tend to be very tough on my gear.
In the end, I would not hesitate to buy this pack again. However, I wont have to because of the unconditional lifetime warrant!!! Love this pack!!!!
