These are very clear binoculars I tested them along side others at twice the price. But they are not made in Japan as other Alpen products are these are made in CHINA for Sportsman's Warehouse. But they do carry the full Alpen warranty if you break them they fix them. I bought them thinking they were made in Japan not china. But for the price they are a great binocular. I just hate supporting china.
