Garmin has done it again with a feature packed GPS in a small package boasting a glove-friendly, sun readable, color touch screen. The waterproof Oregon 550t's easy-to-use interface and versatile features make it the ideal solution for customers looking for a multipurpose GPS device.The versatility of this GPS unit is pretty amazing considering the preloaded 100K topo maps,  and a few optional software programs to enhance the functionality such as turn-by-turn vehicle navigation via City Navigator software, detailed 1:24K topographical data on a micro SD, Blue Chart g2 for marine navigation and heart rate and speed/cadence sensors for the fitness crowd. Highlighting its versatility, Oregon lets you customize five profiles - automotive, marine, recreation, fitness or geocaching - making the most useful features the easiest to access through shortcuts.The 3.2 MP camera automatically geotags an image with the location and makes it easy to share wirelessly with other Oregon and Colorado devices. We really like the versatility of this GPS unit as little is left out.
